AD: This post contains products that have been sent for review.

As the saying goes, ‘The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’. This is actually a load of rubbish, the way to anyone in this house’s heart is through their stomach. We only have the one man in the house and sadly, the girls have lost both Grandads. Don’t tell Mr C, but we know he puts up with a lot living here so we do try to make an effort for Father’s Day. We are definitely a family of food lovers and this somehow influences our style when looking for the Best Father’s Day Gifts. So I thought I would share some of our recommendations here. If none of these gift ideas appeal, you might find what you are looking for over at our Christmas Foodie Gift Guide.

Father’s Day Hamper Ideas

Afternoon Tea from Bloom & Wild

Afternoon tea selection against an orange Cutter & Squidgy box on a wooden table

I love that Afternoon Tea is to be enjoyed by men too. Mr C can certainly demolish a scone or two! This Afternoon Tea selection from Cutter & Squidgy via Bloom & Wild was just perfect. The scones are divine once warmed up in the microwave and the dates are long lasting so you can choose the perfect afternoon to enjoy your treats.

We have become invested in gut health recently (a Gallbladder removal operation tends to do that for you!) and so The Pickle Jar book by Nick Vadasz, made a perfect Father’s Day foodie gift.

The book covers gut friendly, healthy plant-based condiments and delicious recipes from scratch or find ways to save that last spoonful of kimchi from languishing in your fridge.

Published by Octopus Books, The Pickle jar covers 50 recipes for incorporating pickles and ferments into your daily cooking. RRP £20.

Cheese Truckles from Clawson Farms

I love how bright and vibrant these Cheese truckles from Clawson Farms are. We’ve found each one of them to be utterly delicious (and that’s coming from someone who is not a cheese lover). They are honestly so creamy and smooth. I used a light sprinkling of Red Leicester with Scotch Bonnet on my homemade pizza earlier tonight.

Each truckles retails at £5.50 with flavours such as Extra Mature Cheddar with Truffle& Honey, Oak Smoked Mature Cheddar and Wensleydale with mango and Ginger.

Spicy food gifts for dad

Just Spices Gift Set

Pots of seasonings stacked in a pyramid with a pot of sandwich seasoning open at the bottom. There is some seasoning on a tea spoon.

I really love these seasonings! Apart from looking cool in the cupboards, they are so versatile and add excitement to every day dishes like Avocado on Toast or Cheese on Toast. And that’s before we start on the meat seasonings – I’m really looking forward to sharing loads of recipe ideas that these seasonings can be used for.

For Father’s Day, you can buy these seasonings and spices individually from £4.99 from Just Spices or in several combinations of Gift Sets.

Pembrokeshire Chilli Sauces

3 bottles of Pembrokeshire Chilli sauces against a pale blue background on a wicker surface. The different flavours are Reapers Creepers, Ghost Tears and Scorpions Bite.

Not for the faint hearted, these Flavoured Chilli Sauces from Pembrokeshire Chilli Farm are just the thing for a Dad that enjoys some spice. These can be bought singly or in a special Father’s Day gift set, including a new flavour for 2024, Reapers Creapers.

Ideal for both the budding and experience cook. Winner of Gift of the Year in 2022, this Tin of 9 spice blends and BBQ Rubs from family company, Spice Kitchen based in Liverpool is a wonderful gift. Complete with a handmade Silk Sari Gift wrap bag , this is a tin that we will treasure for a long time.

Non-alcoholic Father’s Day gifts

St Michel Choco Muffins

pack of chocolate muffins and chocolate waffle in an orange box on its side. The background is pale blue on a wicker surface. There is a packet of muffins open at the front with one on display.

If Dad has a sweet tooth, these Choco Muffins and Waffles will go down very well. They certainly disappeared very quickly in our house. Coming in their own individual foil wrappers, they are a great snack for on the move or days out.

Currently available from Ocado from £1.37, they can also be bought from other major supermarkets such as Tesco and Waitrose in packs of 6.

Swizzels Sweet Treats

Sometimes the good old traditional favourites are just the gift. This Swizzels Favourites Tub makes an ideal Father’s Day gift – but they need to know they’ll be expected to share!

RRP: £5 – they contain a selection of hard and soft sweets like Squashies and Drumsticks.

Cadbury’s Chocolate Bouquet

Cadburys chocolate displayed in a bouquet style with a pale blue box and blue tissue paper on a black stool

This is a real showstopper – Everyone who saw it commented! This ‘For Him Chocolate Bouquet’ is one of many sweet and chocolate bouquets to choose from www.Sweetbouquet.co.uk. RRP £32.95

You can choose from Ferrero Rocher bouquets, Haribo bouquets, Skittles, Reece’s and many more. The bouquet arrives in a sturdy box – all you have to do it ruffle up the tissue paper and you are good to go!

CleanCo Non-Alcoholic Amber Spirit

A bottle of non-alcoholic spirit by CleanCo on a wooden table

Plant Free Vegan Snacks

Selection of plant free snacks in individual bags on a wooden table

This range of vegan snacks from both Livia’s and Ohso are from parent company, Pulsin. I have to admit at this point that Dads would have to be quick to get a look in as these proved very popular post footy practice in our house!

The Ohso chocolates contain live cultures, said to aid gut health and can be found on the Pulsin website.

Livia’s Nugglets are brilliant snacks for after sports – Naturally vegan friendly, they are both dairy and gluten free. More information and details about each variety can be found again on the Pulsin website.

Father’s Day Gift Hampers

Sweet Father’s Day Gifts

Pick & Mix London Sweet Bundle

Glass full of a selection of sweets with packaging in the background

Sweets aren’t just for the kids – Show me a parent who hasn’t raided their kids’ sweet stash after bedtime. Well, it’s now time for the Dad of the family to have their own bag. This was a 1kg bag of Pick and Mix containing all the favourites: Fizzy sweets, HUGE jelly snakes, Shrimps, BonBons, Jelly Beans and so much more. They honestly lasted us weeks. RRP £8.99 for the Pick & Mix London Movie Night Bundle

Flapjackery Artisan Flapjacks

3 slices of different flavoured flapjacks on a square white plate with a cardboard box in the background

A real treat – There’s still something so luxurious about receiving Baked goods through the post. We were surprised at how big and filling these Flapjackery Artisan Flapjacks were. The 6 flapjack Father’s Day box Mr C received had 3 different flavours: Raspberry & White Chocolate, Golden Salted Caramel Flapjack and Millionaire Flapjack but there are plenty of other flavours to choose from. All flapjacks are gluten-free, can be frozen and have a minimum life of 2 weeks. RRP £22.50 including delivery in recyclable cardboard. We’ll definitely be ordering again to try out some of the other flavours too – They were just the perfect treat after watching one of the youngest’s football matches (Because even though its Father’s Day, kids’ activities don’t stop!)

Stylish Kitchen Father’s Day Gifts

For the cheese lover

Hampshire Cheese Company Wrapped Cheeses

two wrapped cheeses on a tablecloth

Regular readers will be surprised to see cheese featured on Casa Costello. I’m not a great cheese lover (although I’m definitely getting better at trying and enjoying with age). Mr Costello, however, is a cheese lover so what better day to make him feel special than with his very own cheeses?

These wrapped cheeses from the Hampshire Cheese Company look so stylish (and I hear taste incredible too). The company has recently undergone a re-brand and I agree that these cheeses look great. Perfect for in a gift hamper!

Tudworth English Camembert is described as having a rich, long-lasting and nutty flavours (RRP £8.45) and their newer addition, Winslade is a cross between Vacherin and Camembert, rich, soft and gooey. (Also RRP £8.45)

With thanks to all the brands who have provided products to be included in this Father’s Day Gift Guide. Wishing all Dads/Fathers and the father figures in your life a lovely day.

Homemade Father’s Day Gifts

Of course, you can always make your own Father’s Day Foodie Gift like Customized Coasters. Here are some recipes that make brilliant gifts:

White Chocolate and Raisin Fudge

Kahlua and Walnut Brownies

Violet Meringue Kisses
