Peppa Pig Cupcakes Selection

I wondered how long it would take, after returning to my cake business, before I got involved with a Peppa Pig themed order. (For any Year 6 teachers that are reading, do you like my Subordinate clause sentence? ;-)) Over the years, I made tons of different Peppa cakes – All of which I loved doing, and a lot of which I blogged (including the my most popular post ever, How to make a Peppa Pig Cake Topper)

My fabulous friend, Julie asked me if I would make some cupcakes for her 2 year old Granddaughter, Millie. I love making cakes for Julie, she gives me free reign to get creative and we always manage to have a catch up when she collects. My experience of 2 year olds told me Millie was likely to be a Peppa fan, which Julie confirmed.

So onwards I went … I wanted a selection of different styles rather than all Peppas. Julie had requested M I L L I E so they could display the cake, which I tried to make in a Peppa theme with blue background. There was obviously the Number 2 (I did 2 of these to even up the display – I hope they didn’t think I thought she was 22!)

I haven’t done a flat (ish) Peppa head before but am quite pleased with them – I decided everyone needs a George Pig Cake Topper too. And the dinosaur!

My favourite cupcake was the welly boots on the muddy puddles and the grass pushed through a sieve for a delicate effect.

I’m sure these won’t be the last Peppa cakes I do – She’s certainly a popular pig!
