Yahoo!! I’ve got to the end of NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) where I have posted every day. Apologies to the people that have received every single post – I promise not to be quite so frequent from now on. Having said that, it has been a really enjoyable month – I haven’t had to fabricate posts, in fact I’ve still got posts that I wanted to put up but just haven’t had time.
What better way to celebrate the end of September than with a cake post. This is a cake that went out today for little Georgia who is having her 5th birthday party tomorrow. She is pony mad and is having a Pony/Princess party. There will be 2 real ponies present and the little girls will get to brush their manes and put ribbons in their hair. The princess bit was just in case it rained which amazingly enough there is no chance of it doing.
I’ve never made a pony before so this was a bit of a challenge as was making all the marzipan hay – I will admit to getting Nanna Aardvark involved in sticking some of it on!
Its not a great photo but we were rushing out of the door with the cake (the story of a cake-maker’s life!)
