#AD #Review Ah the good old search for shoes that my feet like! I'm the first to admit that I am REALLY fussy what I put on my feet. I always have been and always will be. I remember one night before school started being awake all night as I had decided I hated my new school shoes. The fear was real and I dreaded telling my Mum. Oh I was so upset. As the years have gone on, I'm much more about comfort - my years of blisters in the name of fashion are hopefully over. I've talked before about how changing the Hotter shoes and boots have made life so much easier.

When I was asked if I would like to try out and review their new range of Chase shoes, it was always going to be a yes. I would describe Chase shoes as a mix between a shoe and a trainer. I've got trainers that I wear for school runs (lets not kid ourselves that I'm ever going to do any running in them) but somehow they never seem smart enough to go anywhere else in them. I actually like the shoes more in real life than I do on pictures on the website.
I like my shoes to be suitable for going into a coffee shop but not formal enough for the office. Since starting my job in January, I'm back to wanting to distinguish between office wear and home wear. My biggest request from footwear is that they need to be comfortable to drive in.
I will admit to being a teeny bit nervous about the side zip on the Chase shoe. Am I of an age now where I need a zip up shoe (Surely the next stage are those slippers with a zip up the front?) Guess what? I bloody love that zip!! No more wonky laces - they never come undone and never get grubby from constantly doing and undoing. And the speed of slipping the shoe on and off! I'm seriously going to resent any shoe that takes more than 2 seconds to fasten from now on.
A few weeks have gone by (I like to review properly over time) and the Chase shoes are still smart - There's a tiny bit of creasing on the front but hardly anything considering how much driving they've done. There's been honestly no blisters and that NEVER happens to me. I actually forgot I had them on one evening and went to watch Tara's football, getting them a little muddy - they wiped clean in seconds (and the laces are still sparkling white!)
All in all, I'm really happy - I wore them last week for a restaurant review with jeans and a smart top and felt great.
