Yay! A completely new design for me – I know there are hundreds of Henry Hoover cakes out there but I’d never done one before. To be honest, I didn’t know there was such a demand by 3 year olds for hoover cakes!
The most difficult part was getting the nozzle to stick out of the cake and then attach seamlessly to the pipe. The eyes were my favourite bit as he came to life instantly.
I hate to say it but I’m becoming a bit of a fan of sculpted cakes – they just have that ‘WOW’ about them.
Zac recognised Henry straightaway and his Dad posted a Facebook pic the next day saying Zac was delighted and they were finding it hard to stop him hugging his cake! Aaaaw!

It looks great although as you say it does seem an odd choice of theme for a toddler!! X
Thanks! If only they loved hoovering so much when they grew up!
That’s excellent, love it! What is it with toddlers and their hoover obsessions?! My kids used to love Henry Hoover too, must be a toddler thing lol! ๐
Thank you Wendy. I too had a toddler with a hoover obsession – certainly doesn’t get it from me!
There’s a Henry Hoover Cake??? What next? A Black and Decker drill cake?? Come to think of it, a cake would be the only version of any use in our house ๐
You’d be amazed what cakes people have! I’m on a mission to make 2012 the year of the unusual cake.

I made this for my daughter n decided to do a step by step ,I’m not a lover of clown cakes but her little face as she begged me, how could I refuse!!
This cake looks so good! #Joseph
Brilliant! My two year old nephew is obsessed with his Henry Hover. He walks round the house playing with it! Never mind all his other toys! Lol
It seems quite a common thing amongst toddlers! x
