Wholemeal Soda Bread Dipping Sticks

This month we have been all about the strong flavours but healthy choices. Glorious Skinnylicious Texan Four Bean Chilli is just up our street – Hearty and chunky full of beans, full of flavour and spice, yet low in fat (under 2% per portion) and low in calories (under 150 calories per portion too).

I like my soups to have plenty of texture – this contains rice and red peppers for an even more filling meal. Our kids thought this was a bit too strong for them but it was perfect for us to share. I’m trying to increase our fruit & veg intake so it was really handy that these soups count as 1 of our 5-a-day too.

Of course, you can’t have just soup on its own, I used this opportunity to showcase my Wholemeal Soda Bread Dipping Sticks. They are really easy to make, hardly any kneading and ready before you know it. Perfect healthy bread and mini sticks – perfect for dipping!

I do like the way that Glorious Soups are textured, so much more interesting that way. Your wholemeal soda bread dippers look perfect to go with that soup!

I love the idea of these dipping sticks. My kids are pretty fixated with the idea that they only like tomato soup but I might try and tempt them with these to try some other soups. Thanks for linking up with #cookblogshare

Love the idea of dipping sticks! We’ve been going through a lot of soups lately with all the cold weather and the sticks would be the PERFECT thing to go along with them. Thanks for sharing!

This recipe sounds great & just what I have been looking for! We eat lots of soup during the winter here in Maine and I have been looking for alternatives to biscuits & rolls to serve with it. I am pinning this to try. I would love for you to share it at my Sunday Fitness & Food Linky

Wow these look like good soups and at a great price too! I love the idea of bread dipping sticks, we usually have bread on the side of our soup but it always ends up going soggy and falling in if we do too much dipping :p !

Yum! Perfect soup weather right now and my kids LOVE dipping things into soup. I love the smell of bread baking but I’m too lazy to do it from scratch but I think I could handle this soda bread recipe!

What a great idea to make dipping sticks for the soup. I usually tear a piece of bread up and dunk it in the soup, but dipping sticks look far better. My daughter has suddenly started eating lots of soup so I will have a look at the Glorious ones for her x
