Garlic & Coriander Yeast Free Naan Bread

Its been a few years since I blogged about my Homemade Naan Bread. I still remember the revelation of how much better homemade Naan is than shop bought though. In line with last night’s Great British Bake Off, I’ve decided to update my recipe. I am so conservative when it comes to my Naan flavours, the most exciting I ever get from a takeaway is a Peshwari Naan but I cannot get enough of this Garlic & Coriander Naan Bread. Even better it is yeast free which makes the baking experience so much easier (and reliable in my case!)

Other than the hour waiting for the dough to prove this is a fairly speedy bread recipe. It won’t rise due to the lack of yeast but the prove is still important. The cooking time is super quick too. Just a couple of minutes on each side so you are best staying very close to the grill. I used the ultimate cheat by adding garlic granules as I only like the barest sniff of garlic but if you like it stronger, chop a couple of cloves and you are good to go.

Oh now that does look good. I’ve not watched the last episode of GBBO yet. Must watch it on replay tonight and bookmark this recipe.

Great tip about using garlic granules!!! I love garlic but fresh garlic can make me feel faint (weird I know but i seem to react badly to it at times) but i’ve never had a problem with eating garlic granules so I will remember that tip. These naans look amazing!!!
