Like most people, we love Bank Holidays in our house. 2 rare days off together (Mr C works every Saturday) mean some precious time spent at home. If I am in the mood for baking and fancy a savoury snack, savoury scones are often a winner. The variety of ingredients that can be thrown in is endless. I’ve talked before about not being a lover of cheese but the one time I do like it is in a cheese scone. Not too strong but just enough to give the dough some interest. So cheese and bacon scones it is!
With most scones, they can only be consumed on the day they are baked but these last just long enough for the breakfast run the next day. Definitely better than soggy toast in the car!

I’m not sure about the maple syrup bit, but everything else looks and sounds incredible as I’m a massive bacon fan ๐

What great recipes using bacon. We were more than pleased with my choice of the Bacon & Chicken Puff Pastry Pie, for this month’s Secret Recipe Club assignment. ๐
