What do you get for the lady who is mad on handbags for her 50th Birthday? A Radley Handbag cake of course!
This cake was made as a present for my good friend, Donna on the occasion of her 50th Birthday (Shhhh, I purposely didn’t put a number on the cake in case she wasn’t telling anyone)
Donna is fab – Her daughter is in my eldest daughter’s class at school and it has been a pleasure to get to know her over the past 5 years. She is too generous with her time and will help anyone out – Donna has 4 children and works incredibly hard for each of them.
Donna’s one indulgence is her love of Radley handbags – She is never to be seen without a fabulous handbag.
I made the little Radley dog on the bag by cutting around an embossed impression of a wooden stamp traditionally used for card-making. I think I could get addicted to this new way of getting new sugar shapes.

Ooh, what a fab cake. I’d never have thought of using wooden stamps for cake decorating. Got lots of them too as do plenty of crafting! X
