This cake was enormous! And a bit out of the ordinary for a first birthday, which I love.
There was tons of piping which took ages but I was pleased with the result. The ‘1’ was polystyrene covered in Disco Baby Blue.
At the last minute I slightly changed the design and decided to make a sugar crown cake topper – I found loads of girly crowns on the internet but no boys ones so had to make it up as I went along. I will post how I did it later this week.

Added my Apple Crumbly cakes. You can almost get away with calling them healthy!! (almost!) x
Wow! That was quick – Thanks for adding them. They look absolutely YUM! Can’t wait to make them ๐
Just gorgeous. Lucky wee boy ๐
Thank you – I actually met little Rehan – he is gorgeous with a huge mop of curly hair and the biggest eyes ๐
I love how the tiers in the cake are not only graduated in diameter, but also in thickness and color – amazingly clever design. Love it
Thank you – Rehan’s Mum was very clear about what design she wanted but was open to ‘artistic interpretation’ which was great!
love it, the crowns a lovely touch ๐
Thank you – I was just amazed it worked out first time
It’s gorgeous, Helen. You’re so talented.
Aw thanks, Stella. I’m just very lucky ๐
