If you go down to the woods (or a park) today, you may just get a surprise. McDonalds are hosting pop up events up and down the country to make us smile. Just a little thing to try to make our day and summer better.
Last week, I headed off with the 3 Mini Costellos to Heaton Park in Manchester for an event that only a few of us knew about. Open to anyone who came across it, there were plenty of activities for all of the family.
If you or your little ones are into football, there were great chances for kickabouts – Violet is pictured above playing Pass the Goalie. I love this picture, how she is getting really into her kick and just going for it. My girls are not massive football fans but still managed to have fun.
You can see Violet & Tara pictured above with the Community Shield (I will come clean and admit I had to ask what that was! Apparently, it is a friendly match played just before the start of the season). On the day, we were given the chance to enter the girls as mascots for the Manchester United v’s Leicester Community Shield Match at Wembley on 7th August. It really would have been wasted on us so we didn’t enter. There were so many other kids more worthy than us.
We were given the chance to play in a virtual rock concert – For which we were rewarded with a Free McFlurry – Look out for the McFlurry Bus below if you are out for any days this summer. You never know when it will pop up and make your day.
If you are on social media, follow the hashtag #hellogoodtimes for clues where the next McDonalds pop up might be.
We spent a really lovely few hours down at Heaton Park. Its a brilliant place to start our summer holidays and helped that the weather was incredible. We managed to catch up with some of our blogger friends, Jennifer and gang from MyMummysPennies and Pippa from RedRoseMummy
Disclosure: We were invited to attend the #hellogoodtimes event by McDonalds and have been compensated for writing about the event.
