A trip to Disneyland Paris is the trip of a lifetime for any kid and a lot more adults than we care to admit! We are very fortunate that Disneyland Paris is so accessible to visit from the UK. One of the only tourist attractions that can be easily visited via public transport.

What to think about when looking at planning a trip to Disneyland Paris
Consider Using Public Transport
We have actually done this journey using public transport. We have used both the Eurostar and have flown into Paris. I love CDG airport - it really feels like part of the holiday to me. To make things easier, you can leave some travel belongings with luggage storage at St Pancras International before heading off on Eurostar, which will take you to Paris, reducing travel to a little over 2 hours from London.
Download the Official App
Planning ahead will always make your trip easier and will feel much calmer, knowing where you are headed. Apps are a Godsend for many types of trips and just make things easier. The official Disneyland Paris app makes things so much easier while you are visiting The Magic Kingdom. With the FREE app, you can store digital tickets, book restaurant tables, and find your way around the theme parks.
Food and Water on a Trip to Disneyland Paris
Like most theme parks, Disneyland Paris is no different in that they want you to spend money on food and drink. The trip itself is a lot of money for most families, so you may want to save where you can. Food and drink are overpriced, even though they are of good quality. However, even water is 4€ per bottle - Take an empty reusable water bottle to really cut down on the cost. That’s the price of a sandwich anywhere else! You can take home-made tasty sandwiches with you from outside the park to eat in designated areas.
Comfy Shoes and Clothing
If you have ever been to a theme park, then you know it can be exhausting. The sheer size of some of them is enough to actually put you off, and Disneyland is no different. There are inclines, terrain, and, of course, the waiting. Comfortable clothing and good quality trainers are highly recommended. I also highly recommend taking a change of shoes - Your favourite trainers might be super comfy but your feet will start to ache if you don't have a change.
Get a Fast Pass if You Can Afford It
Whenever you hear people talking about theme parks, it's always the waiting times for rides and attractions that people complain about. Although Disneyland Paris isn’t as bad as Orlando, you can expect to wait around 20 minutes or more for each ride, particularly during school holidays. On a busy day, though, you won’t have enough time for everything unless you pay for it. A Fast Pass allows you to skip the general queue for a much shorter one.
