I think I remember hearing that your laws in the US are much stricter than here in the UK. I approached our Environmental Health dept when I first started and every day worked thinking that today could be the day the EHO could make a spot visit. I have an Advanced Food Hygiene qualification so knew I was covered in my training. Hope that helps!

I have made the cake (twice as the first one was a bit of a disaster), taken a picture and pinned it to pinterest but I cannot get it to upload on here. I am not really sure what I am doing wrong as I have managed it before.

It is a really nice cake and the girls at the office loved it. I love the almond paste top as it give the cake a nice crunch.

Not sure if I am looking forward to the giant fondant fancy or not as that looks a major challenge.

I loved this cake! Great for anyone who doesn’t like frostings or buttercream much (my husband). I also made my own orange curd. Making curd was something I never did before our first Cake-a-long with the home made lime curd. Goes to show you can use what you learn along the way

I baked this cake to celebrate my husband’s birthday and brought it to the forest to eat before a Segway safari.

oooh!! violet… is it similar to lavender taste? I’m useless at making meringues and had to scrape mine off the bottom of the baking tray, they weren’t even 1mm thick, so I think you’ve done a great job! thanks so much for entering the challenge too! Kerry x

Great to read your review of Honour and glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. I’m currently reading Faraway Tree with my daughter and the Wishing Chair is a great prompt as I loved that too! Will look out for The Drowning of Arthur B. Is it creepy?

I’m waiting for my youngest to move onto Scooby Doo – We can’t see past a time when Peppa Pig isn’t on 24 hours a day at the moment! Nothing wrong with an M&S Caterpillar Cake – Its what I bought my husband for his 21st birthday cake (which was a ‘couple’ of years ago!) x
