Reasons to be Cheerful – Christmas Argh!

I’ve found myself moaning this week. I’m not impressed with myself as I’ve absolutely nothing to moan about. Yep, we’ve had a couple of 2am’ers this week trying to get things sorted for the big day in a couple of weeks and we’ve been meeting ourself coming back (is that a St Helens only saying?) with various functions but its all good.

So I’ve had a word with myself and have sorted myself out…and here I am to declare my reasons to be cheerful. I was chatting with our esteemed leader, Michelle earlier in the week and promised her I would take part – I believe the group of people taking part in Reasons to be Cheerful has dropped a bit but hopefully that’s just because everyone is cheerful!

So here goes, my Reasons to be Cheerful for this week:

Christmas Street Party – I’ve helped to organise a gathering for this Sunday. St Helens gets some bad press (sometimes deservedly and sometimes from me) but I believe we all need to do our bit to improve where we live.

I’ve spoken on here about our Summer Street Parties but this is a new venture – we are having Carol Singing, Kids Games, A Grotto and a visit from Santa along with plenty of mulled wine and goodies! Can’t wait!

My Girls – They are brill. Millie has been on a school trip or event every day this week and Violet has been in 3 nativities, 2 Rainbows events and numerous swimming lessons. Tara is crawling about and is a little gem with her toothy grin. Amazing to think that this time last year she wasn’t even here.

Nearly there – I was determined this year to be ready earlier. I’m by no means finished but a lot further on than usual!

A new nephew – Its nearly time! Just under a week until due date – will he hang on until Christmas Day?

And the list could go on – I hope you are feeling cheery. Let me know what is making you smile this week – better still join in the blog hop if you have a blog.

I feel your pain, I felt myself getting into a habit of complaining. At least we both listened to our ‘talking to’

    Have a great week xxx
